Air conditioning

The accommodation has air conditioning in the living room as well as in two of the three bedrooms. The third bedroom is sheltered from direct sunshine and remains cool during the warm summer months.

Arrival
You will be welcomed onsite in person. Please advise us of your precise arrival details at least some days before arriving. Contact details will be provided in ample time prior to your arrival.
Barbecue
​
The accommodation has a gas barbecue for outdoor use. In addition, there is a communal barbecue area. Use of this is subject to the building's house rules.
​
Bed linen & towels
​
Beds are made up with fresh linen and clean towels are provided. There are also towels for the pool.
Cancellation
​
8 weeks or more before the arrival date, a booking can be cancelled with no penalty. Down payments made will be refunded. Between 4 and 8 weeks before the arrival date, 50% of the rental fee is payable on cancellation. If the booking is cancelled 4 weeks or less before arrival, the full rental fee is due.

Charges
​
All rates include end-of-stay cleaning, Internet (WLAN), bed linen, towels, electricity, water, and air conditioning.

Check-in
​
Check-in is between 15:00 and 20:00 on the day of arrival. Check-in between 20:00 and 24:00 at an additional fee.
​
Check-out
​
Check out is before 10:00 on the day of departure. Depending on availability, a late check-out can be booked, at short notice, for a fee.​​

Cot & high chair
​
A cot and high chair cannot be provided.
​
End-of-stay cleaning
​
The accommodation will be cleaned at the end of the stay. The cost of this is included in the accommodation price.

Extra beds
​​
The penthouse can accommodate a maximum of 6 guests. Additional beds cannot be provided.
​
Heating
​
The air conditioning units in the accommodation can be used for heating in winter.
​
Internet (WLAN)
​
The accommodation has high-speed Internet (WLAN). Its use is included in the cost of the accommodation.​
Laundry
​
The penthouse has a washing machine and a tumble dryer. The use of these is free of charge.
​
​​​​Minimum length of stay
​
The minimum stay is usually 3 nights. Different rules may apply depending on the season and rate. You may arrive and depart on any day of the week.

Parking
​
The penthouses has reserved, secure parking in a private underground garage with direct access to lifts.
​
Payment
​
At the time of booking, 25% of the rental amount must be paid by bank transfer or PayPal. The balance of the rental must be paid no later than 8 weeks before arrival.​ If the period between booking and arrival is less than 8 weeks, the total price must be paid immediately. ​

Pets
​
Unfortunately, pets are not allowed. This will be checked on arrival.
​
Pool
​
The plunge pool in the accommodation can be used all year round. It is not heated. Pool towels are provided. The use of the communal pools is subject to the building's house rules.

Power outage (load-shedding)
​
South Africa experiences regular power outages (known as load-shedding). The penthouse is equipped with battery storage. When the electricity goes off, the battery storage powers the lights in the apartment, the internet and some appliances. However, certain inconveniences are to be expected, e.g. the building lifts do not work.
​
Security
​
Access to the penthouse's apartment building is controlled by a 24-hour on-site security service located in the foyer. The building is also protected by full perimeter electric fencing and video surveillance monitoring. Sea Point is generally considered a safe neighbourhood by Cape Town standards.
​
Smoking
​
Smoking is not permitted. This also applies to cannibis consumption. Any violation of this rule will incur a fine of € 250.

Toilet paper, dishwasher tabs, soap
​​
As is usual with holiday apartments, the accommodation is self-catering. However, to make your arrival easier, an initial supply of toilet paper, dishwasher tabs, and soap is provided. Additional supplies, as well as personal hygiene items, must be brought along or purchased on site.

Travel insurance
​
To ensure that you are covered for any financial losses incurred in the event of cancellation, for example, due to illness, accident or unemployment, we recommend taking out travel insurance.
